A Gothic Wedding Overlooking the City: Ashley + Jean at the Orlando Science Center Terrace

When I say this wedding slayed, I mean it in the most literal, lace-and-leather-drenched, candlelit way possible.

Ashley and Jean didn’t just get married, they cast a spell.

Newlyweds posing in moody lighting in orlando science center tunnel.

Held at the ever-iconic Orlando Science Center, their gothic-themed wedding was a perfect fusion of science, mystery, and romance. Think: Morticia and Gomez meet planetarium vibes. From the moment I walked into the venue, I knew this wasn’t your typical wedding. The mood was set with black and white table settings, a giant skeleton (not stan) that they named after me :), and dramatic uplighting that turned the science center into something out of a dream (or a Tim Burton daydream).

Let’s talk wardrobe.
Ashley rocked a jaw-dropping black wedding dress with a beautiful black crown and a black bouquet that was like a love letter written in ink and shadow. Her makeup? Immaculate. A bold lip, a smoky eye, and confidence for days. Jean looked just as fierce in an all black suit with an awesome pattern and a grin that didn’t leave his face all night.

The ceremony took place on the terrace, where guests sat outside in the Florida February breeze. The vows were raw, personal, and just the right kind of poetic. It was one of those moments where you forget you're working because you're so wrapped up in the emotion.

Then came the reception, and let me tell you, it was a VIBE. Guests sipped dark cocktails and danced beneath a giant dinosaur skeleton (Stan!). The guests found their seats from the coolest seating chart I’ve ever seen. Ashley and Jean made their entrance to a rock version of “I Put a Spell on You,” and the party never slowed down after that. (Figure this out)

Of course, I made sure to sneak them away for some just married portraits around the reception area. We had to get the classic Science Center elevator shot.

The best part? Ashley and Jean were 100% themselves. Their wedding wasn’t about tradition, it was about celebrating their story, their way. And that’s what I love most: couples who aren’t afraid to do what feels right and have fun doing it.

If you're planning something bold, unique, and unapologetically YOU, count me in. I’ll bring the hype, the eye for those moody-lit moments, and make sure you’re having the best day of your lives.

Ashley and Jean, thank you for letting me be part of your gothic fairytale.

Till death (or the end of the reception) do us part.
